Cattle watching the traffic

Coloured streaks along the grey tar.

We stand and ponder the meaning of the movement,
We see the speed as we plod
And hear it as we dip our heads.

Who is their leader?
Where do they go?
To greener pastures?
Will the speed ever stop and rest
As we do in the shade?

This is one of many poems I have written in the past that are self-published in a book called "Barriers Broken". This poem gives a sense of the need for us all to take time to rest - whether we have a country life, or if we are part of the city life. Hope you can find a tree to rest in its shade today.
